Winner of the Storyhive Digital Shorts Initiative for BC, 2016.

FEARLESS directed by Danny Berish and Ryan Mah, produced by Danny Berish and Ryan Mah, starring Amber Thomas,. 10 min., documentary, 2016 – A gifted swimmer, 9 year old Amber Thomas was diagnosed with brain cancer which took her sight. She would later relay swim across the English Channel, the first blind woman to attempt this in history. Fearless was selected as a winner of the Telus STORYHIVE Digital Shorts competition in 2016.

THE UNITED GUYS NETWORK directed by Tabatha Golat, written by Montgomery Burt, produced by Tabatha Golat and Andrea Griffiths, DOP Grant Baldwin, music by Harpdog Brown, starring Georgie Daburas as the lead ‘Paul Seger,’ David R MacKenzie as Greg, Dustin Finerty as Roger and John Kerrigan as Joel.  9 min.49 secs, Comedy, 2016 – Paul is a loving newlywed husband who dotes on his wife- this makes the other guys in the neighbourhood look bad, so they kidnap him and teach him how to be a ‘real’ man through their secret headquarters at The United Guys Network. Fearless was selected as a winner of the Telus STORYHIVE Digital Shorts competition in 2016.

STORYHIVE is now accepting pitches for their latest edition: Web Series.  Intake is open until April 11th. Apply now through for a chance to win one of 30 $10,000 production grants to bring a web series pilot to life. Successful pilots could go on to receive a Top Award of $50,000. #STORYHIVE

Hear the untold story of a legend, remembered by an old fan who recalls his first time walking on the wild side.

FSM explores the world of underground raves and online dating through the eyes of Samantha, a female DJ grappling with the ups and downs of hookup culture in her search for meaningful connection. – Awards/Nominations: Winner 2nd Place Best Narrative Feature Boomtown Film & Music Festival, Nominated for Best Feature Film, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, Best Cinematography (Shawn Seifert), Best Lead Actress (Vanessa Crouch), Best Supporting Actor (Sean Aiken), Best Supporting Actress (Jessica Heafey) at the International Film Festival of World Cinema, Nice 2016.

Is it just a really strong case of déjà vu? Or could it be that maybe, just maybe, he’s developed the unpredictable ability to see two minutes into the future?

Western Canadian premiere at 2015 Whistler Film (nominated for the Borsos Award for Best Canadian Feature). Awarded Best Feature at the Spokane International Film Festival.  Best Independent Feature Narrative award at the Winnipeg Real to Reel Film Festival, the Golden Honu for Best Foreign Feature at the Big Island Film Festival in Hawaii, a Special Jury Prize for Feature Narrative at the Columbia Gorge International Film Festival, and Best Picture, Best Actress (Chelah Horsdal), and Best Supporting Actress (Michelle Creber) at the Oregon Independent Film Festival.   Chelah Horsdal’s performance was also nominated for a 2015 Leo Award.

Screening twice during Canadian Film Week at VIFF Vancity Theatre. Vancouver premiere 8:25 PM April 17th.  Screens again 5:30 PM April 20th, (National Canadian Film Day).  Post-screening Q&A will include O. Corbin Saleken (writer/director) and actors Fred Ewanuick, Alex Zahara, and Michelle Creber.
